Privacy and retention

Where your information goes.

Drafting and the watermarked preview are free and stay on your device. When you choose free on-device signing, the reviewed agreement and consent record are stored securely for 30 days. The required $19 USD one-time payment unlocks clean PDF download, private signing invitations, an emailed copy and a receipt.

Your browser

Your draft is saved in this browser’s local storage while you work. It is not sent to us until you prepare it for signing or start checkout. Clearing browser data removes your local draft and may prevent access to a prepared agreement.

Our server and database

When you choose to sign on-device or start checkout, we store an immutable copy of the reviewed draft, your delivery email and the agreement record. Signing does not start a payment.

Private file storage

The generated PDF is held in private storage and is only reachable through the browser that started the order.

Stripe

Receives your delivery email and payment details to take the $19 USD payment and issue a receipt. It does not receive the agreement text.

Signing

Signer names, typed or drawn marks and UTC signing times are stored with the order. Invited signers get a private, expiring, single-party link by email; the raw link is never shown to the owner. Signing records an asserted identity, not independent verification.

Resend

Receives your email address, any invited signer’s email address, the PDF and signing invitations so copies can be emailed.

Retention

• Unpaid prepared agreements and signatures expire 30 days after preparation. If you purchase, download access, signatures, invitations, stored PDFs, the draft snapshot and your email expire 30 days after purchase; scheduled cleanup then removes our copies.
• Payment records are retained separately for accounting and fraud prevention. These can include the email and transaction details synced from Stripe, but not the agreement text.
• Stripe and Resend also retain information under their own policies. Our cleanup does not remove their records or messages already delivered to your inbox.
• The PDF emailed to you is independent of our copy. Keep the downloaded and emailed copies; we cannot recover them after cleanup.
• Download needs the same browser that started the order. On a shared device, remove downloads and clear browser data afterward.

Email use

Your email is used only for this order: delivery, receipt and delivery retries. There is no marketing signup and checkout is not consent to marketing.
